Ireland's currency is the Euro which is a little stronger than the US dollar at the moment (€1.00 = $1.10). If you aren't a frequent traveler, consider advising your bank of your travels before you leave so credit cards and cash withdraws aren't blocked. Please note that if your plans include traveling to Northern Ireland, their currency is the Pound.
